It provides a practical and elegant resting place for these heritage-inspired writing instruments, helping to keep them safely to hand while enhancing their presentation on the desk.
Solid beech wood with hand-chiselled bronze
This pen holder is made from solid beech wood and enriched with hand-chiselled bronze friezes that decorate the piece with elegance and balance. The warmth of the wood and the richness of the bronze combine beautifully, giving the holder its finished form and a strong sense of heritage-inspired design.
A decorative and practical desk accessory
As well as being a useful place to rest a pen, the Goldoni holder works beautifully as a decorative object for the desk, study, or office. Its compact form and carefully chosen materials make it feel like a small jewel for the writing space, ideal for customers who enjoy high-quality desk accessories with lasting appeal.
Handmade craftsmanship and premium materials
The qualities of a handmade product depend not only on the workmanship, but also on the materials used. In this pen holder, Bortoletti combines carefully selected wood and finely finished bronze to create a desk accessory that feels substantial, elegant, and thoughtfully made.
Inspired by Venetian artisan tradition
This handcrafted pen holder is intimately linked to the place it comes from and the traditions that inspire it. The elegance of the bronze applications and the care taken in the finishing reflect the experience of generations of Venetian artisans, bringing authenticity and a strong sense of place to the finished piece.
Designed by master jewellers
Like all Bortoletti creations, the Goldoni pen holder begins with designs first drawn on paper by master jewellers. From those first sketches, the creative process develops through artisan skill and careful finishing, resulting in a desk accessory that feels both original and refined.
Lost-wax cast bronze detail
The bronze elements are produced entirely by hand using the lost wax casting technique, allowing a very high level of finishing and decorative precision. This traditional method gives the Marcello pen holder its refined character and helps make it a small masterpiece of design and craftsmanship.
An elegant gift idea
This pen holder makes a beautiful and original gift for writers, collectors, stationery enthusiasts, and anyone who appreciates Venetian style and finely made desk accessories. Its blend of usefulness and decorative charm makes it especially suitable as a thoughtful present with long-lasting appeal.
Bortoletti Italian craftsmanship
Bortoletti is known for elegant desk accessories and writing instruments inspired by Venice, decorative metalwork, and traditional Italian craftsmanship. The Marcello wooden pen holder reflects that heritage through its solid wood base, hand-chiselled bronze finish, and jeweller-led design approach. It is a desk accessory that combines utility, ornament, and artisan quality in equal measure.

The holder looks wonderful and works perfectly. The parcel seemed at first to have got lost in the Christmas postal frenzy, but Jane directly took action and we finally received it. So a big shout-out to Jane!!!
I\'m not much given to pointless accessories, except when it comes to my glass pens. Perfect fit for a Bortolleti glass pen, well weighted and doesn\'t seem at all inclined to fall over. \'Kind of looks like it should, but it definitely doesn\'t. (I\'ve watched it carefully for a long time.)
